Hello good hunter,
We've all heard of Cyclopes, those one-eyed giants from Greek myths, but what about their half-human offspring? I couldn't resist creating a playable race based on this idea, and I wanted to share it with you all.
The basic concept is that these Half-Cyclopeans are smaller and more nimble than their full-blooded ancestors, smarter too of course, but they still retain some of that cyclopean might and craftsmanship.
"Evil Eye" ability - because what's a cyclops without a terrifying gaze?
"Long-Limbed" trait for extended melee reach
"Poor Depth Perception" - had to balance out those powers somehow! I know that most people with one eye can regain depth perception by moving their head around, but it felt fun to add on a race.
I've also split them into three subraces based on different mythological sources:
Hesiodic: The crafters and weapon masters
Homeric: The shepherd types (yes, like Polyphemus from the Odyssey)
Perseian: The ones I hid on my Patreon ;)
